Over 10 Lakh Jobs Provided Through National Job Fairs: Dharmendra Pradhan

Bhubaneswar, July 12 : Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday announced that over 10 lakh employment letters have been issued through various job fairs conducted across the country, including in Odisha. He made the announcement while inaugurating the 16th National Job Fair held in Bhubaneswar.

Addressing the gathering, Pradhan said the job fairs are part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of prioritizing employment generation and ensuring maximum youth participation in nation-building. “We are committed to empowering youth and providing them with ample opportunities to contribute meaningfully to India’s growth story,” the Minister stated.

The 16th edition of the National Job Fair was simultaneously organized at 47 locations across India. Prime Minister Modi virtually addressed the events and distributed over 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited candidates in various government departments and organizations.

In Bhubaneswar, Pradhan personally handed over appointment letters to 204 newly inducted individuals, including a significant number of women. The recruits have been placed in multiple government departments under the Government of India.

Congratulating the new appointees, Pradhan lauded their efforts and encouraged them to be catalysts of change in their respective roles. “This is not just a new job, but a new chapter in your lives—a chance to serve the nation and support your families,” he said.

Highlighting India’s growing prominence in sectors like technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship, Pradhan said that the country is emerging as a global leader. He emphasized the importance of harnessing the potential of youth to fulfill the government’s vision of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047.

The job fair witnessed participation from a diverse group of job seekers and marked a significant milestone in the government’s ongoing employment outreach initiative.
