Minister Acts Swiftly After Kashmir Attack

Civil Aviation Minister Ensures Swift Relief for Kashmir Terror Attack Victims

In the aftermath of the tragic terror attack in Kashmir, Union Civil Aviation Minister Shri Ram Mohan Naidu has taken prompt and decisive action to assist affected tourists and victims.

Demonstrating hands-on leadership, the Minister has been coordinating closely with the Ministry of Home Affairs and relevant agencies to ensure smooth evacuation and support operations. As part of the relief effort, four special flights have been arranged from Srinagar—two each to Delhi and Mumbai. Additional flights remain on standby to accommodate further evacuation requirements.

In a significant move to protect passengers from price exploitation, Shri Ram Mohan Naidu convened an emergency meeting with all airline operators and issued a strict advisory against surge pricing. Airlines have been instructed to maintain normal fare levels to ensure that no additional burden is placed on travelers during this crisis.

Moreover, the Civil Aviation Ministry is working with state governments and local authorities to facilitate the dignified transportation of deceased individuals to their respective home states.

Minister Naidu reaffirmed that the Ministry is on high alert and will continue to extend all possible support to those impacted by the tragedy.
