Meghana Reddy Qualifies for Korea Open Main Draw

Indian shuttler Meghana Reddy advanced to the main draw of the Korea Open Super 500 badminton tournament after impressive straight-game victories in the qualifiers on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old began her campaign by defeating Chinese Taipei’s Pei Chu Chen 21-6, 21-18 in the first round, and followed it up with a hard-fought 21-19, 22-20 win over Japan’s Ririna Hiramoto in the second round to secure her place in the main draw of the USD 475,000 event.

In the first round of the main draw, Meghana will face Thailand’s Tonrug Saeheng, aiming to make a deep run in the prestigious tournament.

The young Indian shuttler’s performance reflects her growing stature on the international badminton circuit, showcasing her talent and resilience against competitive opponents.
