Sreejesh aims for senior coach role

PR Sreejesh Eyes Senior Team Chief Coach Role in Five Years
Legendary Indian goalkeeper PR Sreejesh has set his sights on becoming the chief coach of the senior national hockey team within the next five years. Currently serving as the chief coach of the junior men’s team, Sreejesh aims to gain experience and maturity before taking charge of the senior side.
“Coaching is new to me. I played hockey for 25 years. So juniors is the right place for me to learn. I don’t have the patience for the sub-junior level where you need to teach basics,” Sreejesh told PTI in an exclusive interview.
The 37-year-old stalwart has already made his intentions clear about leading the senior team in the near future, expressing confidence that his experience as a player and coach will help him guide the next generation of Indian hockey stars.
Sreejesh’s transition from one of India’s most celebrated goalkeepers to a mentor and coach highlights his commitment to contributing to Indian hockey beyond his playing career.
