The Mandalorian and Grogu to Release in India on May 22

“The Mandalorian and Grogu”, the latest big-screen adventure from the iconic Star Wars universe, is set to hit theatres across India on May 22, studio Lucasfilm has announced.

The film marks the return of two fan-favourite characters from the hit Disney+ series The Mandalorian — bounty hunter Din Djarin, played by Pedro Pascal, and his beloved young companion Grogu.

On Tuesday evening, the studio unveiled an action-packed trailer, offering a glimpse into the duo’s latest intergalactic mission. The movie will release exclusively in Indian cinemas in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, according to a press statement.

“The Mandalorian and Grogu” is expected to expand the cinematic scope of the Star Wars saga while continuing the story of Din Djarin and Grogu’s adventures that captivated audiences worldwide through the streaming series.

The announcement has generated excitement among Indian fans of the franchise, with the May 22 release positioning the film as one of the major international theatrical releases of the summer.
