Majhi Declares Corruption-Free First Year

No Corruption Charges Against BJP Govt in First Year, Says Odisha CM Majhi
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday declared that the BJP-led government in the state has completed one year without facing any corruption allegations, marking a significant milestone in its governance journey.
Addressing BJP MPs, MLAs, and Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy at a joint meeting in Bhubaneswar, CM Majhi said, “I proudly say that not a single allegation of corruption has been made by opposition parties during the year. For this, I thank all my ministerial colleagues.”
The BJP government, which took charge on June 12 last year, is preparing to mark its first anniversary this week. Highlighting the administration’s achievements, Majhi said the government has earned the image of a “people’s government” through transparent governance and effective public outreach.
“Our government has maintained a strong connection with the people. We have focused on development, transparency, and delivery of promises. This trust has helped us build a clean image,” Majhi added.
The meeting was part of the BJP’s preparations to commemorate the completion of its first year in power in Odisha, a state where the party formed the government for the first time after a landslide victory in 2024.
Majhi’s remarks come amid ongoing opposition scrutiny and heightened political activity in the state. However, his confident statement about a corruption-free administration signals the BJP’s intent to highlight good governance as a core achievement in the coming days.
