MAHE Health Sciences Research Day 2024 Inaugurates Inspire Junior Program and Collaborate Health Research Expo
Today, Dr. H.S. Ballal, Pro-Chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), inaugurated the MAHE Health Sciences Research Day 2024 at the Interact KMC Lecture Halls. This event marked the commencement of several key initiatives, including the Inspire Junior Program and Collaborate Health Research Expo, attended by over 5000 students from Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts.
The Inspire Junior Program, tailored for students from grades eight to twelve, features guided tours of laboratories showcasing specimens, instruments, exhibits, and experiments across health sciences. Dr. Ballal emphasized its role in nurturing young scientific minds and cultivating future healthcare professionals.
In his address, Dr. Ballal underscored MAHE’s commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and enhancing research resources through initiatives like Inspire Learner, Inspire Professional, and Enrich Access to Research Resources. These efforts aim to bolster research capabilities among undergraduates, postgraduates, faculty, and researchers, advancing healthcare innovation.
Dr. Sharath Kumar Rao, Pro Vice Chancellor – Health Sciences, and other dignitaries inaugurated additional streams aimed at building research skills and fostering collaboration among health science professionals. The day concluded successfully, highlighting MAHE’s dedication to excellence in health research and education.
