Prime Minister Modi Prioritizes Farmer Welfare in First Decision of New Term
In a significant move underscoring the government’s commitment to farmer welfare, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, upon being sworn in for his third term, signed his first file authorizing the release of the 17th installment of the PM Kisan Nidhi scheme. This decision will benefit approximately 9.3 crore farmers, distributing around Rs 20,000 crores.
The Prime Minister emphasized the government’s dedication to the welfare of farmers, stating, “Ours is a Government fully committed to Kisan Kalyan. It is therefore fitting that the first file signed on taking charge is related to farmer welfare. We want to keep working even more for the farmers and the agriculture sector in the times to come.”
The PM Kisan Nidhi scheme, launched in 2018, provides direct income support to farmers, aiming to ensure a stable and assured income. The 17th installment reinforces the government’s ongoing efforts to support the agricultural sector and enhance the livelihood of farmers across the nation.
This decisive action reflects the administration’s focus on addressing the needs of the farming community and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. The release of the funds is expected to provide immediate relief and support to farmers, enabling them to invest in essential inputs and improve their productivity.
As the government embarks on its new term, this move sets a clear priority on agricultural development and farmer welfare, signaling a continued commitment to Kisan Kalyan in the years to come.
