Justice Shripada Joins Orissa High Court

Justice Dixit Krishna Shripada Sworn in as Judge of Orissa High Court
Bhubaneswar, May 12 – Justice Dixit Krishna Shripada was sworn in as a Judge of the Orissa High Court on Monday. The oath of office was administered by Chief Justice Harish Tandon at a brief ceremony held within the High Court premises in Cuttack.
Justice Shripada previously served as a Judge of the Karnataka High Court before being transferred to Odisha. With his induction, the strength of judges in the Orissa High Court has risen to 19.
Enrolled as an advocate in July 1989, Justice Shripada practiced in the High Courts of Karnataka and Madras, specializing in writ, election, and service laws. He served as senior standing counsel for the Election Commission of India and additional central government standing counsel from 1999.
He represented numerous institutions, including the UGC, CCI, TRAI, BARC, and the National Institute of Unani Medicine, and was appointed amicus curiae in several matters before the Karnataka High Court.
In 2014, he was appointed Assistant Solicitor General of India and continued to represent the Central Government until his elevation as a judge of the Karnataka High Court on February 14, 2018.
