India’s Exports to Australia Surge 64.4% in November

India’s exports to Australia surged 64.4% year-on-year to USD 643.7 million in November, driven by robust growth in sectors such as textiles, chemicals, and agricultural products, according to commerce ministry data.

Despite this, India’s overall merchandise exports saw a decline of 5.21% year-on-year, amounting to USD 5.56 billion during April-November 2024-25.

India and Australia have implemented an interim trade pact, the Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA), since December 29, 2022. Both nations are now in negotiations to expand the agreement into a Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA).
