Indian Men’s Hockey Team Ends South Africa Tour Unbeaten

The Indian Men’s Hockey Team concluded their South Africa tour on a high note, remaining unbeaten across two Test matches and a friendly. The team defeated South Africa 5–2 in the opening Test, drew 2–2 in the second Test, and capped the tour with a convincing 4–1 victory in the friendly match.

In the first Test on December 7, South Africa’s Mustaphaa Cassiem opened the scoring in the 4th minute. India quickly responded with goals from Shilanand Lakra (12’) and Aditya Arjun Lalage (14’) to take the lead. Viwe Mbata equalized for South Africa in the 39th minute, but Amit Rohidas (48’), Captain Harmanpreet Singh (53’), and Dilpreet Singh (55’) sealed India’s 5–2 win.

The second Test on December 8 saw a brace from Harmanpreet Singh (4’ and 49’) cancel out South Africa’s Dayaan Cassiem (31’) and Hans Neethling (37’), resulting in a 2–2 draw.

India concluded the tour with a strong 4–1 win in a friendly on December 10, with goals from Sukhjeet Singh, Amit Rohidas, Hardik Singh, and Mandeep Singh, demonstrating their consistent form and attacking prowess throughout the tour.

The unbeaten tour highlighted India’s depth, skill, and resilience on foreign soil, giving fans a reason to celebrate as the team continues to build momentum for upcoming international tournaments.
