Neeraj Ghaywan’s ‘Homebound’ Set for Netflix Release on November 21

After a successful theatrical run and earning the honour of being India’s official entry to the 98th Academy Awards, Neeraj Ghaywan’s Homebound is set to premiere on Netflix on November 21.

The film traces the intertwined journeys of childhood friends Shoaib (Ishaan Khatter) and Chandan (Vishal Jethwa), whose shared aspiration of joining the police force shapes their identities and destinies. Janhvi Kapoor plays a pivotal role, adding emotional resonance to a story that explores friendship, duty, and the mounting pressures faced by young Indians.

Homebound is backed by an impressive production team, with Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra as producers, and Marijke deSouza and Melita Toscan Du Plantier serving as co-producers. The project also features global cinema icons Martin Scorsese and Pravin Khairnar as executive producers.

The film’s digital release is expected to bring it to a wider global audience ahead of the Oscars season.
