Hockey India Announces Free Entry for Men’s Asia Cup in Rajgir
Rajgir, Bihar: In a landmark move for fans, Hockey India has announced that entry for all matches of the Hero Men’s Asia Cup 2025 in Rajgir will be free of cost. The tournament, scheduled from August 29 to September 7 at the newly built Rajgir Hockey Stadium, is set to be a grand celebration of the sport in Bihar.
Fans can secure their free tickets by registering through www.ticketgenie.in or the Hockey India app. Upon completion, a virtual ticket will be issued, ensuring a hassle-free and paperless entry experience.
Hockey India President Dr. Dilip Tirkey hailed the tournament as a “historic moment for Indian hockey,” adding that free entry is aimed at making the sport more accessible. “We want every fan, especially families, students, and young athletes, to witness world-class hockey. This is not just a tournament, it is a celebration of the game,” he said.
Echoing the sentiment, Hockey India Secretary General Bhola Nath Singh noted that Rajgir has shown great enthusiasm for hockey and expressed confidence that fans will turn out in huge numbers. “This initiative is part of our commitment to building a strong hockey culture across India and ensuring an electric atmosphere at the stadium,” he said.
The Hero Men’s Asia Cup Rajgir 2025 will feature eight leading Asian nations – India, Japan, China, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Korea, Bangladesh, and Chinese Taipei. The event also doubles as a qualifier for the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup, making every match crucial.
Hosts India have been placed in Pool A alongside Japan, China, and Kazakhstan. They will begin their campaign against China on August 29, followed by matches against Japan on August 31 and Kazakhstan on September 1.
