Gold futures dip on weak demand

Gold Futures Slip ₹34 Amid Weak Demand
Gold prices fell in futures trade on Monday as subdued spot demand weighed on market sentiment.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold contracts for October delivery declined by ₹34, or 0.03 per cent, to ₹1,00,350 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 12,721 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall to traders trimming positions amid a muted demand in the spot market, though global cues also remain under watch.
Market participants said that with the festive season approaching, demand trends in the coming weeks will determine the price movement of the yellow metal.
