Gabriel India, a prominent auto components manufacturer, has announced the acquisition of assets from Marelli Motherson Auto Suspension Parts Pvt Ltd for a total of Rs 60 crore. This strategic move enhances Gabriel India’s manufacturing capabilities, bolstering its position in the automotive sector.

The acquisition includes additional annual manufacturing capacity of 3.2 million shock absorbers and 1 million gas spring units. This expansion is expected to significantly strengthen Gabriel India’s product offerings in the suspension components market.

The total purchase consideration, which amounts to Rs 60 crore, is subject to closing adjustments, according to the company’s regulatory filing.

With this acquisition, Gabriel India aims to accelerate its growth trajectory, enhance production efficiency, and better serve its customers in the global automotive industry. The move is seen as a key step in consolidating the company’s leadership in the suspension and shock absorber space.
