Elekta launches advanced adaptive radiation therapy system ‘Evo’ in India

Global precision radiation therapy leader Elekta has introduced its latest CT-based linear accelerator, Evo, to the Indian market, aiming to equip clinicians with high-definition, AI-enhanced imaging and advanced adaptive treatment capabilities.

Already launched in Europe and several other regions, Evo is designed to refine cancer care by enabling doctors to tailor radiation therapy more precisely for each patient. According to Elekta, the system’s AI-driven imaging supports clearer tumour visualization, while its adaptive radiation features allow clinicians to adjust treatment plans in real time based on daily anatomical changes.

The company said the addition of Evo to India’s healthcare ecosystem represents a significant step forward in providing sophisticated, patient-specific radiation therapy solutions. Further rollout and installations across Indian oncology centres are expected in the coming months.
