Congress Holds ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Solidarity with Armed Forces Amid India-Pakistan Conflict
The opposition Congress party in Chhattisgarh organized a ‘Tiranga Yatra’ on Friday, expressing solidarity with the Indian armed forces amid the escalating conflict with Pakistan. The event saw party members and supporters marching through the streets of Raipur, displaying the national flag in a show of unity and national pride.
The Yatra, which began at Kalibadi Chowk and concluded at Jai Stambh Chowk, was led by Pradesh Congress Committee President Deepak Baij along with other senior party leaders. Participants carried the tricolour as they chanted patriotic slogans, pledging support for the armed forces in their efforts to safeguard India’s sovereignty and security.
Similar ‘Tiranga Yatras’ were also organized by the Congress party in other states, reinforcing the message of national solidarity during these challenging times. The move comes as India remains engaged in heightened tensions with Pakistan, particularly following recent military operations.
Congress leaders emphasized the importance of standing united as a nation in the face of external threats. “In these difficult times, it is crucial that we all come together and support the courage and commitment of our armed forces,” Baij said in a brief address during the march.
The event was peaceful, with police maintaining security along the route to ensure the safety of participants.
