CM Majhi Warns Against Odisha Image Tarnish

Motivated Groups Trying to Tarnish Odisha’s Peaceful Image: CM Majhi
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday expressed concern over attempts by certain “motivated groups” to tarnish Odisha’s reputation as a peaceful state. The statement came days after violence erupted in Cuttack city, prompting heightened scrutiny of law and order.
During a review meeting at the state secretariat, CM Majhi directed police and administrative authorities to remain vigilant and take firm action against such elements.
“Some motivated groups are trying to tarnish the image of Odisha, which is known as a peaceful state. There is a need to suppress them firmly and remain watchful of such people,” he said.
Authorities have been asked to ensure that law and order is maintained, particularly in sensitive areas, to prevent any further incidents that could disturb peace and harmony.
The CM’s statement comes amid growing concerns over attempts to create unrest and misrepresent the state’s image, underscoring the administration’s resolve to maintain public safety.
