CBI Searches Odisha Over GDS Recruitment Fraud

CBI Conducts Searches in Odisha Over Gramin Dak Sevak Recruitment Fraud
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) carried out extensive searches at 12 locations across five districts in Odisha, investigating alleged irregularities in the 2023 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) recruitment process. Officials revealed that candidates involved in the recruitment examination allegedly submitted fake matriculation certificates to secure positions.
The CBI’s action followed a referral from the Chief Postmaster General of Odisha Circle, Bhubaneswar, who had raised concerns over the legitimacy of the recruitment process. Investigators are now gathering evidence to identify those responsible for the fraudulent activities.
The GDS recruitment process in 2023 aimed to fill numerous posts across rural areas, but this new development has cast a shadow on the integrity of the selection procedure. The CBI’s probe is expected to shed light on the extent of the alleged malpractice and hold the involved parties accountable.
