BYD India hikes price of SEALION 7 premium variant by Rs 50,000

Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD has announced a price hike of Rs 50,000 for the premium variant of its SUV, SEALION 7, in the Indian market, citing evolving cost dynamics.

In a statement issued on Friday, BYD India said the revised pricing comes into effect from January 1, 2026, and all new bookings will be accepted at the updated rates going forward.

Following the increase, the BYD SEALION 7 Premium variant is now priced at Rs 49.4 lakh, compared to the earlier ex-showroom price of Rs 48.9 lakh.

The company did not specify further details on the factors behind the hike but indicated that changes in input and operational costs prompted the revision.
