Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday announced that ‘Bharat Parv 2025’ will be celebrated across the country from November 1 to 15 to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India.
Speaking at a press conference in Patna, Shah said the celebration will honour Patel’s monumental contribution to India’s unity and integrity. He added that the two-week event will include cultural programs, exhibitions, and public awareness activities showcasing India’s diversity and the vision of a united nation.
Shah further announced that a grand annual parade will be organised every October 31 at Ekta Nagar in Gujarat—home to the iconic Statue of Unity—to mark Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary.
The Union Home Minister also said that on November 15, a grand event will be held at the Statue of Unity to celebrate the birth anniversary of tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda, highlighting his role in India’s struggle for independence.
“Both these events will symbolise the spirit of unity and resilience that defines India,” Shah said, urging citizens to actively participate in the celebrations to honour the legacies of Patel and Munda.
