BCCI announces Rs 131 crore reward

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday announced a cash reward of Rs 131 crore for the Indian cricket team following its historic triumph in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
The reward will be distributed among the 15-member squad, the coaching staff and other members of the support staff who were part of the title-winning campaign led by captain Suryakumar Yadav.
According to sources, the players are expected to receive the largest share of the prize money, while the amount for the support staff will be determined based on hierarchy and roles within the team management.
India clinched their third T20 World Cup title, capping off a remarkable tournament run with consistent performances across the competition.
The announcement by the BCCI comes as a recognition of the team’s achievement and contribution to Indian cricket, with the governing body lauding the players and staff for bringing global glory to the country.
