Ather Energy Expands Product Line in Sri Lanka, Launches Rizta Scooter at Colombo Motor Show 2025

Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ather Energy on Friday announced the expansion of its product offering in Sri Lanka, reinforcing its presence in a market that has steadily grown in importance for the company.

Ather, which entered the island nation in December 2024, unveiled its family-oriented electric scooter Rizta at the Colombo Motor Show 2025. The launch was carried out in partnership with Evolution Auto Pvt. Ltd, the company’s authorised distributor in Sri Lanka.

In a regulatory filing, Ather said the introduction of Rizta marks a significant step forward in its international growth strategy, which focuses on widening its product portfolio and strengthening its ecosystem in key overseas markets.

The company said Sri Lanka has emerged as a promising market for electric mobility, and the expanded offering will help cater to a broader spectrum of consumers looking for reliable, family-friendly EV options.

Ather’s continued international expansion comes amid rising global interest in clean mobility solutions and the company’s efforts to position itself as a competitive player beyond India.
