Music maestro AR Rahman unveiled his new composition, “Jamal Al Etihad”, a musical tribute to the United Arab Emirates, at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, drawing resounding applause from a packed audience.
The song, described by Rahman as a “UAE-born Song of Hope,” was premiered live as part of the celebrations leading up to the UAE’s 54th National Day. The Oscar and Grammy-winning composer took centre stage to introduce the track, prompting a thunderous response from spectators.
In a grand gesture of appreciation, the UAE honoured Rahman with a spectacular fireworks show choreographed to his iconic Academy Award-winning track “Jai Ho” from Slumdog Millionaire.
