Anupam Kher shares pictures with Kareena Kapoor, recalls ‘Refugee’ days
NEW DELHI: Veteran actor Anupam Kher took a nostalgic trip down memory lane as he shared pictures with Kareena Kapoor Khan and recalled their first collaboration in the 2000 film Refugee. The actor met Kareena during a recent flight and reflected on her journey from a debutant to one of Hindi cinema’s finest performers.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Kher posted a series of pictures with Kareena along with a heartfelt note. He wrote that he has “watched her grow into a very fine actor” over the years and added that she truly “made it big” in the film industry through talent and perseverance.
Kher and Kareena first worked together in Refugee, directed by acclaimed filmmaker J P Dutta. The film, which released in 2000, marked the debut of both Kareena Kapoor Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. While the film received a mixed response at the box office, it is remembered for introducing two prominent stars to Bollywood.
