Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday reaffirmed the Narendra Modi government’s firm stance against Naxalism, stating that security forces are moving forward with a ruthless approach to make the country Naxal-free.

Shah lauded the recent operations in Chhattisgarh, where security personnel killed 22 members of the CPI (Maoists) in separate encounters in Bijapur and Kanker districts.

“Today, our soldiers have achieved another big success in the direction of a ‘Naxal Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’,” Shah said, emphasizing the government’s zero-tolerance policy against extremist elements who refuse to surrender despite rehabilitation opportunities.

The Modi government has intensified anti-Naxal operations in recent years, significantly reducing insurgent activity across affected regions. The recent encounters mark another major milestone in the ongoing crackdown against Left-Wing Extremism.
