Aditya Aluminium Launches ‘Project Gyanarjan’ to Empower Rural Youth in Odisha
Bhubaneswar, Dec 27 : Aditya Aluminium, Lapanga, has launched Project Gyanarjan, a new initiative aimed at supporting rural youth in Odisha by providing structured coaching and expert guidance for various government competitive examinations.
The project is being implemented under the company’s Community Development Initiative (CDI) in partnership with the Virat Group of Institutions (Viratian Educational Trust), Sambalpur. It focuses on aspirants from the Rengali region of Sambalpur district, offering them access to quality preparation resources that are often limited in rural areas.
As part of the initiative, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Jagannath Prasad Nayak, Unit Head & President, Aditya Aluminium, Lapanga (Hindalco), and Rahul Raj, representative of the Virat Group of Institutions. Under the agreement, coaching will be provided for competitive examinations including Banking, Railway, OSSC, Army, and Police services.
The launch ceremony was attended by several dignitaries and community leaders, including Satyanarayan Agrawal, Chairman, Rengali Block; Kiran Behera, Samiti Member, Lapanga Panchayat; Seshadev Padhan, former Sarpanch of Bomloi Panchayat; and Manoj Kumar Naik, Principal of Lapanga Higher Secondary School. Senior officials of Aditya Aluminium and members of the teaching faculty were also present.
Addressing the gathering, speakers highlighted the critical need for accessible and affordable coaching facilities for rural students. They noted that Project Gyanarjan would play a significant role in empowering local youth by enhancing their competitiveness and creating pathways to stable careers in public service.
Through this initiative, Aditya Aluminium reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive development and educational empowerment, aiming to bridge the gap between rural talent and professional opportunities in Odisha.
