Narendra Modi shares Sanskrit Subhashitam after ICC Men’s T20 World Cup victory

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam highlighting the importance of determination, composure and self-confidence, while congratulating India national cricket team for their victory in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

In a post on the social media platform X, the Prime Minister said that Team India’s triumph demonstrates that the combination of strong determination, calmness under pressure and self-belief is the key to achieving success in life.

Modi noted that the victory also sends an inspiring message that any goal can be accomplished through hard work carried out in the right direction.

The Prime Minister shared the Sanskrit verse:

“अभीप्सां स्वात्मनो रक्षाऽविरतं सुस्थिरं तया।
यत्नमातिष्ठ धैर्येण ततः सिद्धिर्भवेद् ध्रुवम्।।”

The Subhashitam conveys that anyone who seeks progress must work persistently with determination and patience, as consistent effort combined with courage ultimately leads to success.

The Prime Minister’s message celebrated the spirit of teamwork and dedication shown by the India national cricket team, while also emphasising the broader life lessons that can be drawn from their achievement on the global stage.
