NeoZAP credits free digital gold to users after Kohli’s century

Fintech platform NeoZAP credited free digital gold worth crores to its users following Virat Kohli’s century in the India–New Zealand ODI series final, fulfilling a promotional promise that had gone viral on social media.

The giveaway was first announced by Gurgaon-based fintech founder and content creator Rayan Malhotra through an Instagram post, where he pledged that gold worth ₹10 crore would be distributed among app users if Kohli scored a century in any match of the series. After the milestone was achieved, users reported receiving the benefit in the form of 24K digital gold credited directly to their in-app gold accounts.

The company said the offer was made available to all users, including new sign-ups, with the claim window remaining open until January 23 at 11:59 PM within the NeoZAP application. Several users shared screenshots online showing successful credit of the promotional gold.

NeoZAP allows customers to buy and sell digital gold starting from as low as ₹50. The platform also offers an option to lease purchased gold to jewellery brands such as BlueStone and Tanishq, claiming an additional return of up to five per cent annually over gold’s market appreciation.
