Srikanth, Prannoy Target Strong Season Finish

Srikanth, Prannoy Aim for Strong Finish as Young Challengers Rise at Syed Modi International

Veteran Indian shuttlers Kidambi Srikanth and HS Prannoy will look to wrap up their season on a positive note as they headline the field at the Syed Modi International Super 300 tournament, beginning Tuesday.

However, their road to a strong finish will not be easy, with a motivated group of emerging Indian players eager to test themselves against seasoned names on home soil.

The USD 240,000 event suffered a setback with US Open champion Ayush Shetty pulling out at the last minute following his participation in the Australian Open, slightly diminishing the competition’s star power.

Srikanth, a former champion, returns with hopes of regaining form. His runner-up finish at the Malaysia Masters earlier this year signalled a potential comeback, but inconsistent results since then have stalled momentum. The home tournament now offers a crucial opportunity for both Srikanth and Prannoy to end the year on a high.
