Odisha Leaders Pay Tributes to Harekrishna Mahatab on 126th Birth Anniversary

Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and several senior leaders on Friday paid heartfelt tributes to freedom fighter and former Chief Minister Harekrishna Mahatab on his 126th birth anniversary.

Chief Minister Majhi, Speaker Surama Padhy and Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida offered floral tributes at Mahatab’s statue located within the Odisha Assembly premises. Leaders recalled his pivotal role in India’s freedom movement and his contributions to shaping modern Odisha.

Governor Kambhampati, in a social media message, honoured Mahatab as “Utkal Kesari”, describing him as an inspiring figure whose leadership and dedication continue to guide generations.

Events across the state were held to remember Mahatab’s legacy, celebrating his contributions as a statesman, reformer and visionary leader.
