India’s Life Sciences Labs Deemed ‘Future-Ready’ by Industry Managers: Report
Laboratory environments in India’s life sciences research sector are increasingly viewed as “future-ready” by senior and mid-level managers, according to a new report by global workplace design firm Unispace.
The ‘Global Life Sciences 2025 Survey Report’ highlights a growing confidence among Indian managers in the technological advancement, adaptability, and sustainability of their lab spaces, positioning the sector for a rapid leap in research and development (R&D) capabilities.
The report points to India’s readiness for innovation-driven transformation, with labs already equipped to meet future demands in scientific research. According to the findings, Indian business leaders are especially focused on sustainability, placing a strong emphasis on smart energy solutions like solar power and efficient ventilation systems to minimize energy consumption and environmental impact.
“The results underscore India’s commitment to not only fostering cutting-edge R&D but also ensuring that its infrastructure is aligned with long-term ecological goals,” the report notes.
Unispace’s survey included responses from life sciences leaders across key global markets, and India emerged as a frontrunner in planning and implementing modern, efficient, and scalable lab environments.
The findings come at a time when global health priorities, biotech innovations, and digital transformation are reshaping the life sciences industry, placing labs at the heart of next-generation scientific progress.
