Majhi Pledges Service on Anniversary

Majhi Vows to Serve People of Odisha as BJP Government Completes One Year
Marking the completion of one year in office, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday reaffirmed his commitment to serve the people of the state, declaring that public service remains his sole goal and purpose.
Majhi, who took oath as the first BJP chief minister of Odisha on June 12, 2024, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, described the day as a moment of reflection and gratitude. “A year ago today, by the grace of Lord Jagannath and with your trust and support, we formed the government,” he said in a statement.
The chief minister credited the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for guiding Odisha’s development agenda. “Under the guidance of our esteemed Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi, I took the oath as the chief minister of our great soil of Odisha. Our aim remains clear — to uplift every citizen and bring inclusive growth to every corner of the state,” he added.
Since assuming office, the Majhi-led government has focused on governance reforms, infrastructure development, and welfare initiatives with an emphasis on rural upliftment and employment generation.
Majhi also thanked the people of Odisha for their continued support and vowed to accelerate the pace of development in the coming years. “This is just the beginning. Our journey to build a ‘Viksit Odisha’ continues with renewed energy and commitment,” he said.
The BJP government’s one-year completion comes amid heightened political engagement and expectations, as it works to consolidate its position in a state long governed by the BJD.
