Gulveer Singh Wins 10,000m Gold

Asian Athletics Championships: Gulveer Singh Clinches Gold in Men’s 10,000m
National record holder Gulveer Singh kicked off India’s medal tally at the Asian Athletics Championships with a gold medal-winning performance in the men’s 10,000m race on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old Asian Games bronze medallist completed the race in 28 minutes 38.63 seconds to secure the top podium spot. Although his timing was slower than his national record of 27:00.22 set earlier this year, his victory marked a strong start for India at the continental event.
Japan’s Mebuki Suzuki took the silver medal with a time of 28:43.84, while Bahrain’s Albert Kibichi Rop claimed bronze finishing in 28:46.82.
Gulveer’s impressive run sets the tone for the Indian contingent as the championships continue.
