Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has mourned the untimely demise of actor Mukul Dev, his co-star from the 2014 film Jai Ho. His brother, actor Rahul Dev, confirmed the news, stating that the last rites were performed in the capital on Saturday.
Mukul Dev, who carved a niche for himself with memorable performances in films such as Son of Sardaar, Yamla Pagla Deewana, and R… Rajkumar, was remembered fondly by fans and colleagues across the industry. His contribution to Indian cinema spanned decades, with appearances in Hindi, Punjabi, and Telugu films, along with television roles.
Salman Khan took to Instagram Stories to express his grief, sharing a heartfelt message alongside a throwback photograph of Mukul Dev from the sets of Jai Ho. “Miss you my dear brother Mukul. Rest In Peace,” wrote Khan, reflecting the bond the two shared during their time working together.
The passing of Mukul Dev marks a somber moment for the film fraternity, with tributes pouring in from actors, filmmakers, and fans alike who remembered his talent, professionalism, and warm personality.
He is survived by his family, including his brother Rahul Dev, who also enjoys a successful acting career.
