Dharmendra Pradhan Inaugurates World-Class Egg Processing Plant in Odisha’s Balangir

Union Minister for Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, on Saturday inaugurated the state-of-the-art Ovo Farm Egg Processing Plant at Berkani in Balangir district, marking a significant milestone in the region’s agro-industrial development.

The cutting-edge facility, developed by Ovo Farm Private Limited, stands as a symbol of visionary entrepreneurship in one of India’s aspirational districts. Speaking at the inaugural event, Pradhan lauded the initiative, calling it a powerful example of self-belief and innovative thinking that could set a precedent for the rest of the state and beyond.

“The establishment of such a modern agro-industry unit in Balangir is not just a leap for the local economy but also a step forward for Odisha’s food processing sector. This plant connects Balangir to global markets through the export of high-quality egg powder,” Pradhan said.

He commended Soumendra Mishra, Managing Director of Ovo Farm Pvt Ltd, and his associate Samarendra Mishra for their vision and commitment to strengthening the rural economy. He noted that the egg powder produced at this facility meets international standards and is poised to cater to demand from global markets.

Pradhan highlighted the growing impact of technology in agriculture and food processing, stating that the modern facility is an inspiring example of how innovation can drive rural development. He expressed hope that such initiatives would encourage youth in Balangir and other remote regions to explore entrepreneurship and contribute to the country’s progress.
