Top seed Vishnu Vardhan and rising star Maaya Revathi advanced to the quarterfinals of the 29th Fenesta Open National Tennis Championship on Wednesday, continuing their impressive runs in the tournament.

Vishnu, a multiple Asian Games medallist and former national champion, faced a tough second-round battle against Bhicky Sagolshem of Manipur. After taking an early lead, the Telangana player secured a 6-3, 5-7, 6-2 victory, overcoming a spirited comeback by Bhicky, who fought hard in the second set.

Maaya Revathi, competing in the women’s category, also advanced, maintaining her winning form as both players set their sights on the championship.
