Direct Uzbekistan–Goa Flights Resume, First Flight Lands at Mopa with 121 Passengers
Direct air connectivity between Uzbekistan and Goa has officially resumed, offering a renewed boost to Goa’s international tourism and travel network, officials said on Thursday.
The inaugural flight from Tashkent arrived on December 3 at the Manohar International Airport, Mopa, marking the revival of the route. The Airbus A320 landed with 121 passengers on board, signalling strong interest from travellers from the Central Asian region.
Goa Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte welcomed the development, stating that it further strengthens the coastal state’s reputation as a preferred global destination. He added that improved international connectivity is crucial for expanding Goa’s tourism reach and enhancing visitor experiences.
Officials expect the resumption of this route to boost tourist inflow from Uzbekistan and encourage broader cultural and economic engagement between the two destinations.
