President Murmu greets nation on Ram Navami

Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday extended her heartfelt greetings to citizens across the country and Indians living abroad on the eve of Ram Navami.

In her message, the President highlighted that the festival marks the birth anniversary of Lord Rama, revered as Maryada Purushottam, and emphasised the enduring relevance of his life and teachings.

She noted that the epic journey of Lord Rama inspires people to follow the path of truth, justice and virtue, while also motivating them to fulfil their duties towards society. The President said that the ideals of Lord Rama form the foundation of India’s cultural ethos and urged citizens to strive to uphold them in daily life.

Calling for collective responsibility, Murmu appealed to people to imbibe the teachings associated with Lord Rama and take a pledge to serve the nation through their thoughts, words and actions.
