TVF to Venture into Films, Plans Sci-Fi & Horror Shows, Says Originals Head Shreyansh Pandey

Content creation studio The Viral Fever (TVF), renowned for its successful shows such as “Panchayat,” “Gullak,” and “Kota Factory,” is set to expand its creative horizons. Shreyansh Pandey, the head of TVF Originals, announced that the company plans to venture into filmmaking and explore new genres like sci-fi and horror in long-format shows.

Having started as a YouTube channel, TVF has grown into a powerhouse in the Indian streaming space, known for producing relatable and engaging stories. Their popular series “Panchayat” delves into rural life, while “Gullak” portrays the everyday experiences of a middle-class family in small-town India. The company’s journey began with their first show, “Permanent Roommates,” in 2014.

“Kota Factory,” another acclaimed show by TVF, provides a realistic depiction of students preparing for competitive exams in the coaching hub of Kota, Rajasthan.

Shreyansh Pandey highlighted the company’s commitment to diversifying its content portfolio. “We are excited to bring our unique storytelling approach to films and explore genres like sci-fi and horror,” he said. This move marks a significant step for TVF as they aim to captivate audiences with a broader range of narratives and formats.
