Tusshar Kapoor: No Pressure After Debut

Tusshar Kapoor Says Star Kids Face No Pressure After Debut Film
Actor Tusshar Kapoor believes that while star children enter the film industry with high expectations, they are judged solely on their talent and hard work once their debut film is released. Speaking at the trailer launch of his upcoming horror-comedy Kapkapiii, Kapoor shared his thoughts on the perception surrounding star kids in Bollywood.
“There is no pressure from the audience,” said the actor, who is the son of legendary actor Jeetendra and producer Shobha Kapoor. “I feel they like a movie for what the movie is. They appreciate an actor or actress for the work they do — for their hard work, talent, and screen presence.”
Kapoor, known for his work in films like Golmaal and Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai, emphasized that expectations may be high before a debut, but after that, it’s the individual’s performance that matters most. “People don’t keep comparing or judging after that first release. If you deliver, you get appreciated. If not, being a star kid doesn’t help,” he added.
*Kapkapiii*, Kapoor’s latest project, marks his return to the big screen in a lead role and is expected to blend horror and comedy elements. The trailer launch event saw enthusiastic response from fans and media, building anticipation for the film’s release.
Kapoor’s comments come amid ongoing debates about nepotism in Bollywood, highlighting his view that legacy may open doors, but sustained success relies on talent.
