Sitharaman: Operation Sindoor Shows Zero Tolerance

Sitharaman on Operation Sindoor: India Will Never Tolerate Terrorism

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday hailed Operation Sindoor as a decisive and powerful response by the Indian Armed Forces, asserting that India will never tolerate terrorism in any form.

Speaking after the military offensive that saw missile strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), Sitharaman emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to national security.

Operation Sindoor is a strong and clear message to all terror outfits and their supporters — India shall never tolerate terrorism. Our forces have acted with precision and courage,” she said in a statement.

According to defence sources, the Indian military targeted nine key terror locations, including the Jaish-e-Mohammad stronghold in Bahawalpur and the Lashkar-e-Taiba base in Muridke. The action comes just two weeks after the devastating terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, which left 26 civilians dead.

The operation is being widely viewed as a direct retaliation aimed at dismantling cross-border terror infrastructure and deterring future attacks on Indian soil.

Political leaders across the spectrum, including Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi and BJD president Naveen Patnaik, have publicly supported the armed forces, marking a rare moment of national political unity.

As the country mourns the victims of the Pahalgam attack, Operation Sindoor has become a symbol of India’s resolve to combat terrorism and protect its sovereignty.
