Senior IAS Officer Manoj Ahuja Appointed Odisha Chief Secretary
Manoj Ahuja, a senior IAS officer from the 1990 batch, has been appointed as the new chief secretary of Odisha. Ahuja will succeed Pradeep Kumar Jena, whose term concludes on June 30.
The General Administration and Public Grievance Department issued a notification on Friday, confirming Ahuja’s appointment. His return to Odisha follows approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on June 25, which was prompted by a request from the state government.
Before this appointment, Ahuja was serving on central deputation as the Secretary of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, a position he had held since April 1, 2022. His extensive experience and leadership skills are expected to be valuable in his new role as the chief secretary.
Ahuja’s career includes several significant positions and contributions at both the state and central levels. His expertise in administrative and governance matters will be crucial in navigating the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for Odisha.
