SAT Grants Gensol Engineering Time to Respond

SAT Allows Gensol Engineering to Respond to Sebi’s Interim Order
Gensol Engineering has been granted the opportunity to file its response to the interim order issued by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi), following an order from the Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) on Wednesday. The tribunal disposed of the appeal filed by the company but allowed it two weeks to respond to the regulatory body’s directive.
Sebi had earlier barred Gensol Engineering, along with its promoters Anmol Singh Jaggi and Puneet Singh Jaggi, from accessing the securities market, citing allegations of fund diversion and governance lapses. This interim order was issued last month and prohibited the company and its promoters from participating in any securities market activity until further notice.
In its regulatory filing, Gensol Engineering confirmed that the SAT has disposed of the appeal but granted the firm a window to present its response to the Sebi order. The company is expected to file its detailed reply within the next two weeks.
The developments highlight ongoing regulatory scrutiny concerning corporate governance and financial practices within publicly listed companies, with a focus on ensuring transparency and accountability in market operations. Gensol Engineering’s response will be keenly awaited as the case progresses.
