Rajiv Anand Appointed MD & CEO of IndusInd Bank for 3-Year Term
IndusInd Bank has appointed Rajiv Anand as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for a period of three years, effective August 25, 2025, the bank announced in a regulatory filing on Monday.
Anand, who previously served as the Deputy Managing Director of Axis Bank, brings with him decades of experience in the banking and financial services sector. His appointment has been approved by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and was cleared during a meeting of the bank’s board held earlier in the day.
As per the official filing, Anand has also been designated as an Additional Director in the category of Managing Director and CEO, as well as a Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) of the bank. His tenure will run until August 24, 2028, pending shareholder approval.
Rajiv Anand’s appointment is seen as a strategic move to strengthen leadership at IndusInd Bank as it navigates growth opportunities in retail, digital, and corporate banking spaces. With over three decades in financial services and a strong track record in leadership roles, Anand is expected to steer the bank into its next phase of expansion and innovation.
