Rajit Punhani appointed new FSSAI CEO

Rajit Punhani Assumes Charge as CEO of FSSAI
Senior IAS officer Rajit Punhani on Monday took charge as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
A 1991-batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre, Punhani brings extensive administrative experience to the role.
FSSAI, a statutory body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, is responsible for regulating and supervising food safety standards across the country.
With Punhani at the helm, the authority is expected to further strengthen its regulatory framework and ensure stricter implementation of food safety norms to protect consumer health.
