Railways Sanctions Over Rs 500 Crore for Two Flyovers in Odisha
The Indian Railways has sanctioned Rs 509 crore for the construction of two major flyovers in Odisha, located in Cuttack and Rayagada districts. This initiative is part of the broader Energy, Mineral, and Cement Corridor Scheme, which aims to enhance train movement and reduce traffic congestion in critical regions.
The announcement was made in an official release on Monday. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who recently visited the state, confirmed the sanction of these infrastructure projects, highlighting the importance of improving transportation efficiency and infrastructure in Odisha.
The development is expected to significantly ease traffic flow and improve logistics for both rail and road transport.
