Prime Minister Shares Glimpses of Ahmedabad Metro Phase-2 Inauguration

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Saturday shared glimpses of the inauguration of Phase 2 of the Ahmedabad Metro, highlighting the government’s commitment to strengthening urban infrastructure and improving public transport.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said that the remaining stretch of Phase 2 of the Ahmedabad Metro, connecting Sector 10A to Mahatma Mandir, was inaugurated today. He noted that the expansion would significantly enhance the ‘Ease of Living’ for residents of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.

Shri Modi said the development reflects the Centre’s continued focus on modern, efficient and sustainable urban mobility solutions. The completion of Phase 2 is expected to improve connectivity, reduce travel time and support the growing transportation needs of the twin cities.

The Ahmedabad Metro project is a key component of Gujarat’s urban development initiatives, aimed at providing safe, reliable and eco-friendly mass transit to commuters.
