PM Modi Engages AI Startups for Innovation

PM Modi Holds Roundtable with AI and Deeptech Startups at Seva Teerth

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today hosted a roundtable with CEOs and founders of 16 AI and deeptech startups at Seva Teerth, highlighting India’s growing leadership in artificial intelligence and innovation. The discussion focused on leveraging AI to address population-scale challenges across sectors including healthcare, agriculture, cybersecurity, space, education, and social empowerment. (PIB Delhi)

The participating startups presented their work in diverse fields: advanced diagnostics, gene therapy, patient record management, geospatial and underwater intelligence for agriculture, cybersecurity solutions, AI for social justice and vernacular education, and modernising enterprise systems. These ventures aim to create solutions tailored to India’s unique needs while establishing global leadership in AI-driven innovation.

Prime Minister Modi lauded the innovators for taking bold risks and creating impactful, scalable solutions. He emphasised the potential of AI in sectors such as agriculture, environmental protection, and education, specifically promoting higher learning in Indian languages. He highlighted the need for robust data governance, vigilance against misinformation, and solutions customized for India’s local challenges. (PIB Delhi)

The PM drew attention to UPI as a model of scalable digital innovation and encouraged confidence in Indian companies and domestic technology products. He also urged expanding private participation in India’s space sector and noted strong investor interest in AI and deeptech startups.

The roundtable included CEOs and founders from Abridge, Adalat AI, BrainSightAI, Credo AI, Eka Care, Glean, Innogle, Invideo, Miko, Origin, Prophaze, Rasen, Rubrik, SatSure, Supernova, and Sypha AI. Senior officials present were Principal Secretary Shri P. K. Mishra, Principal Secretary-2 Shri Shaktikanta Das, and Minister of State Shri Jitin Prasada.

The startups expressed appreciation for India’s sustained efforts to strengthen its AI ecosystem, describing the India AI Impact Summit 2026 as a testament to the country’s rising stature in shaping global AI discussions.

The meeting underlined India’s ambition to harness AI and deeptech not just for economic growth but also for social empowerment, sustainability, and inclusive development, reinforcing the country’s vision as a global AI leader.
