Physis Capital Secures Rs 150 Crore Commitment for Rs 400 Crore Fund
Venture capital firm Physis Capital has received a Rs 150 crore commitment for its upcoming venture fund, which aims to raise a total of Rs 400 crore (approximately USD 50 million). The fund will be used to invest in 12-15 startups, according to a senior official at the firm.
Vinay Bansal, General Partner at Physis Capital, stated that the firm expects to close the fund by early 2026. He explained that the Rs 400 crore fund is divided into four segments: Rs 100 crore from retail investors, Rs 100 crore from family offices, Rs 100 crore from financial institutions, and Rs 100 crore from the government.
The fund is designed to back innovative startups across various sectors, with a focus on creating long-term value through strategic investments. The commitment marks a significant step in Physis Capital’s mission to fuel the growth of India’s startup ecosystem.
